~Our Values~

What we at monotomoi value most is the belief that "things made by people with passion are good." The passion and attitude of the maker always shines through in the product. This is something I strongly felt after meeting craftspeople all over the country and inspecting each and every product they have made.

We realized that the level of attention to detail that goes into a product for the user is reflected in the finished product with surprising honesty. This is why we don't handle "items that were made without any real story behind them." This is because we know that the depth and sincerity of the feelings behind a product will always be reflected in its shape.
~Reasons for being particular~

When I talk to many creators, I realize that even if they have strong feelings, they have few opportunities or means to put them into words, and that their passion is not fully conveyed. On the other hand, it is precisely because we live in an age where there are so many things that people are moved when they come into contact with other people's thoughts and backgrounds. That's why I first carefully ask, "Why do you make it?" and "Where do you put your thoughts?", and I always make sure to see the product itself and the manufacturing process with my own eyes.
~The act of going to meet someone~

It takes effort, and we are only able to publish about 60% of the works. But we continue to visit the sites because we believe that a world where people's thoughts are communicated, received, and circulated will lead to a place where everyone can live more authentically. That's why we go to meet the creators. To publish proof of that thought on monotomoi.
